Perspex or glass?
Customers looking for a display case often hesitate between these two materials. Here are the main differences:
- Perspex: lighter in weight, completely transparent and easier to handle in transport
- Glass: harder and more scratch-resistant.
Sustainably recycled acrylic
Our display cases are made from recycled acrylic: Astariglas® ECO CAST. This material has the same clarity and properties as standard acrylic, but is 100% recyclable.
Complimantary top plate when ordering a plinth and a display case
If you order both a plinth and a display case from us, we will install a top plate in the same colour as the plinth free of charge. The display case fits perfectly over this top plate, ensuring it stays securely in place.
Custom-made and large sizes
We can also manufacture perspex products in larger sizes than those you can calculate yourself on our website. Do you need a specific size? Please contact us. We can make a custom-made quote for you very quickly.
Important: dimensions and thickness of the material
- The stated dimensions are external dimensions. The internal dimensions are always smaller.
- Internal height = external height - thickness of the top plate - thickness of the acrylic
- Internal length and width = external dimension - 2x the thickness of the acrylic
- Thickness of the plexiglass:
Up to 60 cm (l x w): 4 mm thick perspex
Larger than 60 cm (l x w) or for extra heavy loads: 5 mm thick perspex
- Please allow for small tolerances in the material thickness
