Our solid oak plinths, made from solid European oak, give every object a strong and authentic appearance. Whether you want to present art, decoration or a product: with a solid oak plinth, you choose a sturdy, durable and stylish base. Thanks to its solid construction, the load-bearing capacity is virtually unlimited. We have various wooden plinths available directly from stock and we also produce custom-made wooden plinths. Please note that during the winter months, the delivery time for custom-made oak plinths may be slightly longer. Due to lower temperatures, the natural drying process of the wood takes longer.
The strength of solid oak
Each solid oak plinth is planed and carefully sanded, while the natural characteristics of the wood remain visible. This includes knots, cracks and splits: exactly the details that create a warm, lively and unique appearance. This makes every oak plinth not only functional, but also a characterful part of your interior or presentation. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
A natural product with its own character
Solid oak is a living natural product. This means that visible knots, large cracks and splits are part of the material. These may change over time or develop further, for example due to the drying of the wood (heat can accelerate this process). This is part of the natural characteristics of oak and has no effect on the quality, stability or load-bearing capacity of the wooden column. In that case, we recommend choosing a
plinth finished in oak veneer instead of solid oak.
Dimensions & customisation
Because every wooden plinth is made from solid oak, no two pieces are exactly the same. Small variations in size and shape are part of this:
- Length and width are supplied approximately (max. approx. 10% deviation)
Example: when ordering a plinth with a length and width of 30 cm, the plinth may, for example, measure 28.8 x 29.3 cm.
- Shapes are not always perfectly square
- The height is produced exactly according to your specification
