ABN AMRO ART & HERITAGE

ABN AMRO Art & Heritage is an existing client of Solits. They chose us again when they decided to implement their ideas for an exhibition on Bank Architecture.

This exhibition tells the architectural story of the various ABN AMRO bank buildings. The ever-changing functions and appearances of bank buildings are conveyed with the help of the wide item selection from the bank's very diverse historical collection: from photography to models, from paintings and sketches to a stained glass window, from blueprints to building fragments or even parts, with an occasional historically significant beer bottle in-between!

The question

The wish was to render the history of the offices in a beautiful, captivating manner.
Plinths were required to display objects, but some display space was also needed to convey information. Can construction drawings be printed on the plinths?

The execution

We figured out what would be the best way to display the construction drawing on the plinths’ surface. We chose to convert these into stickers and apply them. The plinths were also fitted with matching display cases to protect the objects.
Once the exhibition comes to an end, the sticker can easily be removed and the plinths can be used again for another exhibition.

- matching custom-made display cases
- customized stickers/ application
